Complaints Policy

The Fyne Homes complaints policy was reviewed in line with guidance by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO). The main amendments included the addition of sections covering HOME Argyll complaints and processes relating to representations from Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs), and Councillors.

As part of the review process, tenant consultation was undertaken. A total of five responses were received, including two comments. One respondent suggested that section 4.3.1 should explicitly name the landlords referenced in relation to the HOME Argyll partnership. This feedback has been incorporated, and the section has been revised accordingly.

The customer complaint information leaflet was also updated to improve its design and layout.

Following the Committee meeting last week, the new Complaints Policy has been approved.

Anti Social Behaviour Policy

The consultation on our Anti Social Behaviour Policy is now closed. Thank you to all that participated, your time and feedback is appreciated. The feedback will now be taken forward to our committee for consideration. Results and outcomes will be published here soon. Domestic Abuse Policy

The revised Domestic Abuse Policy has been completed to take account of the new Legislation and the Statutory Guidance from the Scottish Government and was approved by the Management Committee at their August 2026 meeting.

Although only four responses were received following consultation, the feedback provided was invaluable in shaping the new policy. Contributors included a survivor with lived experience and representatives from Police Scotland, whose insights have helped inform and strengthen the policy.

The key changes to the policy are as follows:

  • The Law – The policy has been updated to reflect current legislation.

  • Our Approach – It sets out a clear approach to how Fyne Homes will respond to those experiencing abuse and how staff will be supported to deliver safe and trauma informed services.

  • Language – it has been written in a way that is easy to understand and to make it clear that the safety of victims / survivor’s is the primary consideration.

  • Housing Options – it explains what housing options may be available for those experiencing domestic abuse.

  • Partnership Working – it give details on how we will work with partners such as Police Scotland, the local authority and specialist domestic abuse organisations.

  • Role of Staff – it outlines the roles and responsibilities of our staff.
