Consultations

Tenant consultation is the process of actively engaging tenants in decisions that affect their homes and communities. It involves gathering feedback, sharing information, and involving tenants in shaping services, policies, and improvements.

For Fyne Homes, tenant consultation strengthens relationships, builds trust, and ensures services reflect real needs. It can lead to better decision-making, improved satisfaction, and more effective use of resources. By listening to tenants, Fyne Homes can identify issues early, enhance community wellbeing, and promote transparency. Ultimately, meaningful consultation empowers tenants, encourages collaboration, and helps create sustainable, high-quality housing services that benefit everyone involved.

Any consultation with tenants will include giving tenants comprehensive information in an accessible format and reasonable time to express views

Consultations 2026 / 27

During 2026 / 27 Fyne Homes will be consulting on several policies. It is important that we get feedback from tenants on these policies to make sure they are doing what they are meant to do for our tenants.

Estate Management Policy

Fyne Homes will be seeking your views on our new Estate Management Policy. Your feedback will help shape the final policy and ensure it meets the needs of those it aims to support.

This consultation will commence on 21st September and will run until 18th October.

Details of how to participate will appear here in sue course.

Our Tenants Rights

Our tenants have a right to be consulted on key Policies and proposals that may have an impact on them.

Section 8.4 of the Scottish Secure Tenancy agreement (SST) that our tenants sign up to states that we will consult our tenants when we propose to make or change:

Policies regarding housing management, repairs and maintenance if the proposal is likely to significantly affect tenants

Proposals for changes in rent and service charges

Proposals for the sale or transfer of our housing to another landlord

Performance standards or targets in relation to housing management repairs and maintenance

Our tenant participation strategy

We will take into account any views that tenants have before making a final decision. Any consultation with tenants will include giving tenants comprehensive information in an accessible format and reasonable time to express views.
