The Fyne Homes complaints policy was reviewed in line with guidance by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO). The main amendments included the addition of sections covering HOME Argyll complaints and processes relating to representations from Members of Parliament (MPs), Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs), and Councillors.
As part of the review process, tenant consultation was undertaken. A total of five responses were received, including two comments. One respondent suggested that section 4.3.1 should explicitly name the landlords referenced in relation to the HOME Argyll partnership. This feedback has been incorporated, and the section has been revised accordingly.
The customer complaint information leaflet was also updated to improve its design and layout.
Following the Committee meeting last week, the new Complaints Policy has been approved.
