James joined the Management Committee in 2007. he has previously held the of Vice Chair from October 2016 and was Chairperson until 2023. James was elected as Convener of the Staffing Committee in October 2023 and sits on our Board of Directors for subsidiary companies FYne Futures and FYne Initiatives.
James joined Argyll and Bute Council’s Leisure Services team in 2005 after a long career in the Scottish Area Tourist Board network, latterly as Area Manager (Lomond and Clyde), where he was responsible for the day-to-day delivery of visitor and membership services in the area.
He is involved in a number of local organisations, including The United Church of Bute, where he has served as Session Clerk since 2011.
