Help Shape the Future of Housing in Argyll & Bute

Argyll and Bute Council is developing a new Local Housing Strategy (2027–2032), setting out how we will work with partners to address the key housing challenges facing our communities over the next five years.

Housing remains one of the biggest issues affecting residents, communities, businesses and economic growth across Argyll and Bute. The new strategy will create a clear vision for housing and housing services, helping to ensure everyone has access to a home that meets their need

Key priorities include:

  • Increasing housing supply
  • Improving the quality and condition of existing homes
  • Tackling homelessness and housing affordability pressures
  • Tackling homelessness and housing affordability pressures
  • Supporting people with health conditions and disabilities to live independently at home
  • Improving energy efficiency and tackling climate change
  • Creating successful places where homes are connected to transport, services and jobs.

Argyll & Bute Council want residents and communities to be at the heart of shaping this strategy. Whether you rent, own your home, live in social housing, or are looking for housing, they want to hear from you. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete, Responses are anonymous and used for research purposes only.
