Fyne Futures was established in 20024 and is a Registered Scottish Charity who are led by a volunteer Board of Directors. Based on the Isle of of Bute, Fyne Futures are committed to environmental sustainability and providing training and employement opportunities to thise furthest from the labour market.

Restyle Fyne Futures

ReStyle is a quality re-use furniture organisation delivering sustainability, environmental & social benefits to the community of Bute. They look to make a difference by transforming and upcycling quality donated used furniture for the residents of Bute whilst improving the social and environmental situation in the community. 

Bute Produce Fyne Futures

Bute Produce Operating since 2009 the garden, situated at Ashfield in Rothesay, has been cultivated and operates a green box scheme providing organic produce to customers across the Isle of Bute.  In addition, the Bute Produce garden plays a key role in delivering Fyne Futures employability programme, supporting employed trainees work to learn how to grow, produce and maintain the garden, alongside gaining the Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh Certificate in Practical Horticulture. 

Bike Bute Fyne Futures

Bike Bute is Scotlands first island-based community e-bike scheme with a collection point Rothesay ferry terminal to encourage visitors and locals to support sustainable travel for touring around the area. They offer a companion bike for wheelchair users, child trailers, strollers and dog trolleys.

Since 2012 Fyne Futures have supported wage-based placements and volunteer workers. As well as funded employment, Fyne Futures are also a delivery partner for the “Spark Your Purpose” pre-employability programme, helping people of all ages with whatever they need to prepare for employment. Fyne Futures are sponsoring a Graduate Apprentice studying for their BSc in Accounting while gaining on the job experience as part of the core staff team.
