Douglas was elected onto the Management Committee in September 2023 and is also a member of the Staffing Committee.
Douglas is currently a local Councillor in Mid-Argyll for Argyll and Bute Council and was appointed Provost in 2024. He has over 37 years experience working as a mental health professional. He is a trustee and holds a governance position in several organisations including MS Centre in Lochgilphead and Argyll and Bute Council Childrens Befrienders, these roles and his work with Argyll and Bute Council means he has a good understanding of governance systems. In additon Douglas has experience of HR and conflict management.
