Spence Court, Dunoon

Fyne Homes’ £2.5M re-development of the derelict site at Spence Court went on site in May 2017 with MacLeod Construction. This project, which will deliver 16 new build affordable homes for rent, will go some way in addressing the shortfall of affordable housing supply in Dunoon.

The development will consist of a mix of terraced and detached housing with accommodation comprising of 7 x 2 bed properties and 9 x 3 bed properties.

The project, which is due for completion in Early 2019, has received funding from the Scottish Government’s Affordable Housing Supply Programme, Argyll & Bute Council’s Strategic Housing Fund & Fyne Homes’ own finance.

Janet McAlister, Fyne Homes’ Technical Services Director, said “Fyne Homes are delighted to be working with local Argyll & Bute contractor MacLeod Construction Ltd to deliver 16 affordable energy efficient family homes in Dunoon town centre.”

The site will be officially known as 'Queens Court' following a naming competition at St Muns Primary School in Dunoon. Fyne Homes committee chose the name from a number of fantastic submissions from the pupils; the winning pupils will also be invited along to the official opening of the development.
