TP Christmas Events 2017
This year Tenant Participation sent out invites to tenants and sharing owners over 55 and children primary 7 age and under.
The older tenants in Lochgilphead, Dunoon and Rothesay were invited, along with their friends to attend a showing of “Miracle on 34th Street” and enjoy a cuppa and a mince pie. In Campbeltown a high tea was arranged in Café Bluebelll due to the local cinema not yet being available.
Over all approximately 45 tenants and their friends attended these events with those present expressing their thanks to Fyne Homes for arranging the events Unfortunately the weather will have put paid to a number of people not attending given that the cold weather was making underfoot conditions treacherous and a few tenants called off due to ill health. However, Tenant Participation will continue to organise events throughout the year.
The children in Lochgilphead, Dunoon and Rothesay were invited to watch “Arthur Christmas” , although a slight hiccup in Lochgilphead meant that the children watched “Elf” instead, which they all enjoyed. The Campbeltown children were invited to the local soft play centre to enjoy the facilities there which included the Disco Dome and Super Slide inflatables.
Santa was present at all the events and handed out gifts to the children. Over 65 children attend the various events. Santa also visited Gigha primary school to hand out gifts to the 17 pupils there.
Over the festive period Tenant Participation engaged with over 120 people of various ages which is a fantastic result and will continue to engage with tenants of all ages in a variety of ways
